Data You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses typed into a search widget go to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Riverton Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own records. A message sent through a contact channel contains the information included by the sender and is used to reply.
Automatic Log Details
Hosting services may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate logs help maintain security and site performance. They are not used here to create a resident profile.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, answer messages, understand broad traffic, and protect the service. Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act, Utah Code Title 63G Chapter 2, applies to public-record custodians, not to private material submitted to this reference.
Links to Other Services
Links lead to Salt Lake County, Riverton, Utah courts, the State Archives, USPS, libraries, and other providers. Their privacy practices and retention terms control once a visitor leaves this site.
Who May Receive Data
Search providers, hosting vendors, security services, and a response recipient may receive information needed to perform their role. No public-record custodian receives a search merely because a visitor reads a link.

Reasonable technical and administrative steps are used, but no internet transmission is guaranteed safe. Do not send sensitive identity documents through an unapproved channel. Request those documents from the official custodian using its own process.

This reference is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit another person’s private information through a search form.
Your Choices
Visitors may stop using the widgets, contact the relevant search provider about submitted data, or ask the site operator about a message. A government record must be corrected through its custodian. Utah privacy and confidentiality rules, including Safe at Home and voter At-Risk protections, remain with the agency that holds the record.
